"Kunnskapsbanken". University of Oslo Library and research through 200 years
Through 200 years the University of Oslo Library has played an important role in research at the University of Oslo. All subject areas have required access to literature, and the University Library has procured and passed on this literature.

The transmission of literature has changed concurrently with changing needs, from handwritten journals in reading rooms to electronic catalouges, databases and digital texts, available independent of time and place.
Outstanding researchers
The exhibition focuses on a few outstanding researchers and shows a few glimpses of the close relationship, today and in the past, between the university and the library.
