In 2012 the University of Oslo Library has bought over 20.000 new e-books, covering a wide range of disciplines.

Large e-book packages have been purchased from the following publishers:

  •      Cambridge (1100)
  •      Elsevier (570)
  •      Oxford (1100)
  •      SAGE (1000)
  •      Springer (4700)
  •      Wiley (1200)

Digitized older books

Several collections of digitized versions of old printed documents of all sorts have also been purchased.

  Three collections of Early European Books (EEB)

  •      Collection 1: The Royal Library of Denmark in Copenhagen
  •      Collection 2: Biblioteca Nazionale Centrale di Firenze
  •      Collection 3: BNCF, KBNL, KBDK and Wellcome volumes

  and four collections of Nineteenth Century Collections Online (NCCO):

  •      British Politics and Society
  •      Corvey Collection of European Literature, 1790-1840
  •      Asia and the West
  •      British Theatre, Music and Literature
