This year's Christmas greeting from the Humanities and Social Sciences Library is in the shape of a tree decorated with 350 literary post cards. Here is how it was made.
You can now sign in to Oria, borrow and reserve books, and order literature online again. Our new library system became operative on November 21st, and we are celebrating with buns on Monday morning!
BIBSYS is being replaced at the University of Oslo in November. You can borrow books in the libraries, and you can search in Oria during the transition period, but on the 11th - 20th November it will not be possible to renew loans, reserve books and order literature online. The new library system will be in place from the 21st November, and all services will function as normal.
Do you want to publish Open Access, and have to pay an article processing charge (APC)? The publishing fund could be your answer! The University of Oslo's publishing fund was established two years ago and has grown from 500.000 NOK to 2.5 million NOK in total yearly grants.
This semester the price of colour prints has increased.
Bibsys Ask has been replaced by a new search service. In November 2015 Bibsys Ask will no longer be in use.
Sophus Bugges house will be closed during the academic year 2015/2016 due to refurbishment. In the meantime the student library will be moved to the faculty of Social Sciences.
