The building work which will give Sophus Bugge a long-awaited upgrade begins in July. The library closes its doors after the 5th June, and during the summer the collection will be moved to the study room in Eilert Sundts house. The study room will act as a temporary library during the refurbishment.

Borrowing course books and our guidance services will function as normal. The biggest change is that the entire study room collection will be moved to a closed stack. The books which are usually only to be used in the study room can be ordered and borrowed.

Reopening autumn 2016

In the autumn of 2016 Sophus Bugge will reopen with a new air conditioning system and modernised teaching rooms. The students have for a long time wanted an improved indoor air quality, and we are very happy to be able to grant this wish. The library will not only be able to provide better air quality, but also new furniture and upgraded group rooms.
