5 tips every student should know
Here is our advice for how to get started at the University Library (UB).
1. Borrow course materials from the library
Is your bank account almost empty? If you start early, you can borrow course materials from the library - free of charge. Find your books using Library Search, get them from the stacks and check them out at the circulation desk or with one of our automated check-out machines.
2. Go digital
You have access to over 472 000 electronic books, 22 500 electronic journals and 420 different databases in Library Search. Our subject pages have collected the best resources for your field or discipliine.
3. Remote access
You don't have to be on campus to access our e-resources. Log on to the UiO network from home or abroad to access library services and resources.
4. Find additional sources
Do you more literature or sources for your paper? Save yourself lots of time by learning the best way to search in the right databases. Ask any one of our librarians for help at our reference desks or simply fill out this form. Check our opening hours before you visit.
