Study areas and group study rooms

We have a variety of places in the library where you can sit down and read and work. There are study areas alongside the outer walls, a quiet reading room at Level 1 and 22 group study rooms. The study areas have electrical sockets for pc's and there is a wireless network throughout the library. We also have 90 stationary pc's.

Reserve?

It is not possible to reserve any of our workplaces, but when you have sat down on a workplace it is yours for as long as you want throughout that day.

Taking a break during the day?

If you leave the workplace or the room it will be available for others. You can take a break for up to 30 minutes. If you do that, a note of  absence must be filled in and left on the workplace. Absence notes can be found at the reference desks and at the circulation desk and in the group study rooms. If you come to an empty place without an absence note or where the 30 minutes time limit has been overrun you are free to clear the workplace in order to use it yourself.

When can you use the workplaces?

The workplaces can be used within the librarys opening hours. You are adviced to come early, particularly during the exam periods.

Quiet areas

The study area at the top of the stair wells at Level 3 are quiet areas. Lap tops are not allowed here. A quiet reading room are also available at Level 1.

Mobile phones?

Mobile phones must be turned to silent ring mode, and the sound on lap tops must be switched off. Remember that all mobile phone conversations in the staircases or in the printer rooms can be heard loud and clear from most of the reading areas.

Peace and order

Follow the Regulations of the library to achieve a nice workplace for all!
