Who can borrow from other libraries?

Through our Interlibrary loan system students and staff at the University of Oslo and OUS, Rikshospitalet may order books and articles from other libraries. Other users should contact the National Library.

What can you borrow?

Items you need for your studies and research at the UiO or OUS, Rikshospitalet, provided the item is not held in our library collections.
Conditions for use are imposed by the lending library.

How much does it cost?

Time of delivery

Average time of delivery from Norwegian and Nordic libraries are approximately 1 week. From libraries outside the Nordic countries there may be large variations, but most items are delivered within 1-4 weeks.

Renewing loans from other libraries

Loans from Norwegian libraries may be renewed by agreement. Borrowing period is imposed by the lending library.
