Social Sciences & Educational Sciences - International students - Introduction to library services

The Humanities & Social Sciences Library offers an introductory session for new students to find their way into our collections. We help our students to learn the skills needed to  find, read, and use resources from the University Library. Length of the course: 45 minutes

Learning outcomes

After the library course you will:

  • know how to find relevant information available from the library collections
  • be able to search our library catalogue Oria in an effective way
  • be able to use the online library catalogue to locate, order, reserve books and renew loans
  • know where to find relevant databases

Working methods

There will be a demonstration of how to search the library catalogue and how to find the databases relevant to your subject.

Target group

International students attending the English language courses at the Faculty of Social Sciences & the Faculty of Educational Sciences.
