Research Bazaar: Virtualized research architecture

This workshop will help you set up a virtualized research architecture with IaaS (Infrastructure as a Service).

IaaS gives you the possibility to quickly and with little or no cost set up one or several machines for a test or to get some result, and afterwards either throw them away or build further on your solution. The focus is on getting the actual platform to work, not on what research tools you install on top of it.

Subjects covered:

  • Making a server interactively
  • How to automate making servers from the command line
  • How to use storage

After completion attendees will be comfortable making linux-based servers on a virtual infrastructure.
