The Mind of the Universe

Professor Trond Torsvik is one of three researchers interviewed for the fourth episode of the series The mind of the Universe. Trond will give a small introduction before we show the fourth episode - “the explorer”.

The mind of the universe is an open source television project from VPRO Public Broadcasting in the Netherlands. Through ten episodes great scientists of our era illuminate the world of tomorrow. They take us into the future, transgressing the borders of their disciplines.

Professor Trond Torsvik is one of three researchers interviewed for the fourth episode of the series. Trond will give a small introduction before we show the fourth episode “the explorer”. Join to learn more about Tronds thoughts towards a unified theory of the evolution of the earth and what makes our planet unique.

Planetary researcher Sara Seager, pioneer in the search for exoplanets, and demographer Michel Poulain is also featured in the fourth episode of The mind of the universe.

Professor Trond Torsvik is among the most cited researchers in paleomagnetism, geodynamics, paleogeography and earth history. He has described how one can explain the link between the deep parts of the Earth with the Earth's surface.
