Tasks performed

Responsible for the library's collections in astronomy and astrophysics, and the Science library's collection in library and information science. I'm specially interested in bringing the old collections up from the storages and display them in various ways. I'm also keen to find new ways of displaying our new acquisitions on the web. Besides the daily worktasks, I'm interested in information behavior.

The traditional tasks i perform:

• Tuition in databases and helping students and employees with information requests
• Cataloguing
• Classification and indexing

Work

I'm an employee of the University Library since 2002, first at the Informatics Library (February 2002 - December 2003), then at the Mathematics Library (November 2004 - February 2006), and since 2007 I've been at the Astrophysics Library.

Education

Bachelor in Library and Information Science at Oslo University College (2001), One term of Archival Knowledge at University of Oslo (2001), Examen Philosoficum and Examen Facultatum at University of Oslo (2002), Inf101 at University of Oslo (2003), and Master in Library and Information Science at Oslo University College (part-time 2003-2008).
