Customise the results
After searching Oria you get a left hand menu with options that help you refine your search results. Resource type, publication year and language can be helpful refinements.
If you are looking for a specific format, you can choose which resource types to see in your search results.
Choose which of the University libraries you get search results from. Remember that you can borrow books from all our libraries.
You can choose a specific year, or a period for the material you are looking for. For example maybe you only want to see the newest books, or books from the '50s.
Specify a language.
Searching Oria will give you results from material you have access to as student/staff at UiO or OUS. By choosing [Expand my results] you will see material that is not at your library, but can be ordered.
You can make some customisations on the search results page by choosing [Edit] at the top of the left menu.
Here you can choose what your preferred subject areas are. This can make your results more relevant based on your choices.
If you choose [Prefer newer material] newer items will appear higher up in the result list.
