Publishing fund for UiO researchers

After only two weeks of opening the UiO publishing fund for applications, all available funds have been awarded. Regrettably, we are therefore forced to close the publishing fund for any further applications in 2017.

The fund opened for applications again on August 14th, but we are forced to take this step today as we have received a large number of applications. With the budgeted 1.2 million kroner awarded by August 24th, there are no more funds available for 2017 and the fund will therefore be closed for applications for the remainder of 2017. New applications will be accepted again in 2018.

Please note - approved applications will not be affected by the closure and publishing fees will be paid as agreed. There will not be a waiting list for applications before reopening of the fund in 2018.

What is Open Access publishing

Open Access publications refers to journals and books that are open to everybody, and not regulated by subscription schemes or other barriers. Processing fees often have to be covered by the author or by the institution where the author is employed.
