National Geographic - Young Explorers Seminar

National Geographic Young Explorers have grants for students! You are all invited to the seminar to see some good talks and get information about how to apply. Remember to register by september 28th.

National Gepgraphic are looking for young scientists, conservationists, explorers, photographers and journalists to help launch their careers and support their fieldwork. Meet National Geographic Explorers, learn how to apply for funding and test your ideas.

Introduction to National Geographic and its role in supporting exploration, research, and conservation. An outstanding Young Explorer will present their projects and their future plans in the field. The panel will offer advice on the elements of a good grant application and why many applications miss the mark.

Registration required by September 28


  • Aubrey Jane Roberts, paleontology PhD student from University of Oslo and a National Geographic Young Explorer, will share her experiences from Svalbard.
  • Lars Larsson, journalist and expedition leader and a National Geographic Explorer, will present his recent expedition to Pamir.
  • National Geographic Grant Program Officer, Camilla Hansen and Communications Director, Merci Olsson will describe how you can apply for up to 5.000 Euros with a National Geographic Young Explorer grant.
