Economics - Library course - 3rd term master
Scholarly information is organised different than most information on the web so that it is useful to know a bit about how the information is organised. This course is intended to help Master's students to practice scholarly search tasks with systematic use of databases and library catalogues together with Internet archives.
Learning outcomes
After the library course you should:
- have experienced complex search tasks
- be able to search for concepts and theories and not only titles, author and keywords.
- be able to evaluate relevance and quality by using quantitative and qualitative methods
Working methods
The students should use their thesis as a starting point for all the exercises and we will discuss problems that arise in connection with these tasks.
