We can all find academic writing challenging at times. Whether it's finding a good research question,

00:00:06.500 --> 00:00:11.000
getting started with a new assignment or structuring an essay, there are often times when it could be

00:00:11.000 --> 00:00:17.200
useful to talk it through with someone else. Well, the Academic Writing Centre is here to help. We

00:00:17.200 --> 00:00:21.900
provide a supportive environment to discuss your work no matter what stage of the writing process

00:00:21.900 --> 00:00:24.450
you are at, or which subject you study.

You might be wondering about academic writing in general and what is expected at the University of Oslo,

00:00:29.400 --> 00:00:34.500
or maybe you have very specific questions about referencing. But when you book an appointment

00:00:34.500 --> 00:00:40.100
with us the time is yours. It's completely up to you what we discuss, and you can choose to focus on

00:00:40.100 --> 00:00:46.000
whatever issue or part of the assignment you like. All of our academic writing mentors are trained to

00:00:46.000 --> 00:00:51.000
help you develop as a writer, as well as support you through your current assignment. We work

00:00:51.000 --> 00:00:54.650
digitally, in person, with drop-in sessions or booked appointments.
