Transkribus: AI-powered text recognition of historical documents
Transkribus is a comprehensive platform for the digitisation, AI-powered text recognition, transcription, and searching of historical documents. In this workshop you will get a demonstration of Transkribus and learn how you can use this tool in your research.
Learning outcomes:
After attending this course, you will able to:
- Use the Transkribus platform for the digitisation, AI-powered handwritten text recognition (HTR), transcription, and searching of historical (and also printed) documents you are researching.
Working methods
- Presentation of Transkribus
- Demonstration of the workflow
- Practical advice and guidance that pertain specifically to your use of the platform.
In the registration form, you will be able to submit samples of the texts you are researching and descriptions of what would like to do with the transcribed texts.
