Introduction to an easy workflow for collaborative writing based on open software. 

We will introduce you to an easy workflow for collaborative writing based on open software. The flow consists of creating a shared reference library in Zotero, and writing and citing in cloud-based word processors. This way anyone in the group can add entries to the reference library, write the text, and add and edit citations.

Zotero is a reference management tool which allows you to collect and share references and easily cite them using most word-processors.

Cloud-based word-processing is useful when you want to co-write with no latency with peers in any corner of the world. Solutions can include GoogleDocs, Authorea, Dropbox etc.

We will go through setup, getting started, and trying out the flow from beginning to end.
