Gain insight - Creating interactive dashboards with bokeh to process your data
Time and place
January 11th 2019, 09:00-12:00, Niels Henrik Abels hus, room UE32
Interactive dashboards can aid data processing in a variety of ways. For example, you can create interactive plots, delete outliers or fit theoretical curves to your data. There are any different ways to obtain interactive dashboards. In this workshop, we would like to present one of them, namely the Python library Bokeh. Bokeh offers you the possibility to create interactive dashboards and to utilize the powerful programming language Python at the same time. To get started with Bokeh, however, you don't need to be an experienced Python programmer!
You do not need to know any python scripting in beforehand. We will explain all necessary steps to obtain interactive dashboards with Bokeh.
You need to bring a laptop. Preferably installed python and Bokeh: Step 1: Download Anaconda . Step 2: Start “Anconda Prompt” if Windows or bash console if Mac/Linux Step 3: Write “conda install bokeh” and press enter.
People who want to interact with their data or have an interest in data processing. PhD students and PostDocs.
