Introduction and hands on try out of multicamera portable videolab or portable audio and video recorders.

Introduction and hands-on try out of multicamera portable video lab. TLVlab has a number of a portable lens that can record from different video cameras and syncronize on the fly. Well suited for collecting video data from classrooms, doctors offices or other places where you need more than one camera to record the action.

Will bring a selection of devices and talk about their pros and cons, this will also give the audience a chance to familiarize themselves with the current state of portable recording devices. The course will also cover simple editing for connecting the recordings for a research-friendly use. Automatic synchronization of the recording will also be a part of this presentation in terms of what is currently available for the common user. Will also cover some of the tools available for reviewing multiple audio and video tracks

Learning outcomes

After attending this workshop you should have an idea of the applications of the different recording devices, including their pros and cons and  be able to use multicamera labs, some experience of digital videos possibilities and challenges
