WiDS Oslo Conference 2018

The Global Women in Data Science (WiDS) Conference aims to inspire and educate data scientists worldwide, regardless of gender, and support and showcase women in the field. This annual conference is held at Stanford University and 100+ locations worldwide, hosted by WiDS Ambassadors.

Who should attend?

The conference is open to everyone, regardless of gender, who is interested in engaging with and learning from the local data science community. 

What to expect 

The Oslo satellite conference will be in three parts, taking place at Ole-Johan Dahls hus. You are welcome to join all three or any one of the following: 

  1. 9:00-12:00 (with a free lunch from 12-13): A live introductory workshop on applying machine learning to detect anomalies in real data. This requires registration and has limited space. 
  2. 13:00-15:00: Speakers from the industry and academia sharing their experiences working within data science and applying machine learning to varied industries. Opportunity to meet with the local data science community. Open for everyone, we ask you to register in order to keep track of number of attendees. 
  3. 15:30-18:00: Stream of Stanford Keynote Speakers with drinks and networking. Open for everyone, we ask you to register in order to keep track of number of attendees.
