Academic writing consists of various linguistic moves, such as argumentation and discussion. This talk focuses on some of the typical, linguistic patterns that are involved in the crafting of an argument, and how you can support and defend your claims by using sources.
The talk is inspired by Graff and Birkenstein's classic book "They say, I say: The moves that matter in academic writing"
