Special purpose rooms

Our special purpose rooms are located in the library and are available to our users, whether for various services or in connection with courses, workshops, and events.

Classrooms

  • The library has a classroom called Læringsoasen on level 2. You can find it marked on the Level 2 floorplan.
  • Additionally, there is another classroom called Kursrommet (room 3529) located outside the library premises on level 3. You can find this classroom marked on the Level 3 floorplan.

Reading room for older material

Would you like to access some of our older and more valuable materials? These books cannot be borrowed, but you can use our designated reading room on Level 1 for this purpose. Refer to the Level 1 floorplan to locate the room.

Please note that there is a video camera installed in the room, and it must be locked at all times, even during use. A staff member will accompany you to the room once you have picked up the materials at the library desk.

Kindly adhere to the library regulations, which include not bringing any food or beverages into the room.

Multimedia room:

CD-ROMs and DVDs

To view one of our CD-ROMs or DVDs, we have a dedicated multimedia room on level 1. The room is available for viewing material from our library's collection or material borrowed through our interlibrary loan department. You can use this room during regular library hours and you do not need to make a reservation.

If you have any questions or need access to the room, please contact the desk on Level 1. Please note that you must follow the library regulations, which include not bringing any food or beverages into the room.

Please note that we have a collection of VHS tapes available for borrowing, but we do not have a VHS player available at the library.

CD

The library has a CD collection consisting of approximately 4000 CDs. You can search for CDs in Oria. Please note that CDs cannot be checked out from the library, but you can listen to them in the multimedia room located on Level 1.

Mikrofilm and mikrofiche

The room is also equipped with the necessary tools for reading, saving, and printing from both microfilm and microfiche.
