Alloy Phase Diagrams Center (ASM)
The ASM Alloy Phase Diagrams Center allows subscribers to explore, search and view more than 28,000 binary and ternary phase diagrams and associated phase data for more than 6200 systems.
Arxiv is an electronic archive for articles and preprints within physics, mathematics, computer technology, quantitative biology and non-linear sciences. Arxiv was started in 1991, and is owned and run by Cornell University. Particularly strong in theoretical physics.

CRC handbook of chemistry and physics
With yearly releases since 1913, CRC Handbook of Chemistry & Physis is considered a standard work within reference literature, specially within practical chemistry. Contains a large number of compact tables with properties of atoms, isotopes, chemical compounds, solids and more.
Search engine for scientific information. Searches academic publishers, thesises, books, abstracts, professional societies, technical papers and pre-print archives. Please note that the references are often lacking and incorrect. See Fulltext@UBO for accessing articles or to order a copy.
IEEE Explore contains fulltext articles and conference proceedings from IEEE, IET, IBM and VDE Verlag in applied physics, electrical engineering, computing, power and energy, biotechnology and telecommunications among other areas of research. Aslo includes IEEE Standards Dictionary and around 1000 e-books from IEEE og MIT Press.

INSPEC is produced by IEE (The Institution of Electrical Engineers). Coverage includes physics, electrical engineering, electronics, telecommunications, computers, control technology, and information technology.

Physics reference books from Oxford University Press.
SCOPUS is a multidisiplinary abstract and citation database with focus on literature in Scientific, Technical, Medical and Social Sciences.
It covers journals (16,500 titles inc > 1,200 Open Access journals), conferences and patents. Excellent coverage of new publications, but does not extend far back in time.
SpringerMaterials / Landolt-Börnstein
SpringerMaterials is based on the Landolt-Börnstein New Series, the unique, fully evaluated data collection in all areas of physical sciences and engineering.
Web of Science (Thomson Reuters)
Multidisiplinart reference- and citation database based on bases started during the 1960's. It was the only multidisiplinary database for a long time, but is now in competition with Scopus. WoS still has a better coverage back in time, but covers fewer new publications. The two bases overlap greatly, both in coverage and functionality.
