Course description
The Data Stewardship Wizard (DSW) is a web browser tool for creating and customising data management plans (DMPs) and associated templates. DMPs can be exported following recommendations from national and international funders including the Norwegian Research Council. This workshop applies to all data-driven fields.
Target audience
While the workshop is open to everyone, we particularly welcome data managers, PIs, and academic staff with particular responsibility for the data generated in a project.
Learning outcomes
- Understanding how an organisation or research group can take DSW into use and adapt it to a certain domain
- Starting a new DMP on DSW, from scratch or following a set of pre-filled recommendations
- Sharing and working collaboratively on the DMP
- Assessing the FAIRness of your dataset based on the DMP
- Export a DMP according to funders' templates, including the Science Europe template (adopted by the Research Council of Norway) and Horizon Europe
- Creating customised questionnaires and adapting existing ones; making these questionnaires public
Prerequisites and required materials
- A general understanding of DMPs and common practices in data management is an advantage. No additional software is required, but the participants are requested to create an account beforehand on UiO’s instance of DSW HERE
- Laptop
Lunch
