Course description
The use of generative AI promised to boost academic and research activities. Immediately after the emergence of LLM-based tools, a zoo of specialized tools became available to tackle all kinds of tasks, from writing a literature review to running code. However, multiple studies warn that misuse of AI may be detrimental both for the work and for the user. This workshop intends to equip participants with an initial skillset before using AI for any purpose, review the steps of the research pipeline that may benefit the most from the use of AI and those that may not benefit, and generate a discussion on the pros and cons of working with AI-based tools on research.
