Course description
This course is meant to help you make the most of your historical sources by using Tropy, a digital tool that simplifies the process of organizing and annotating them so you can easily find again exactly the ones you need when it comes to writing your thesis or research article.
We will start by working with an already existing Tropy database [The download link will be posted here a few days before the course]. We will organise the pictures into items, add or correct metadata, and annotate the sources.
Once everyone is familiar with the interface, you will learn how to create a new database and fill it with your own archival pictures and/or pictures of various sources that we can provide. You will learn how to adapt the various standard Tropy templates to your needs.
Instruction will be in English, unless everyone is competent in Norwegian, and we can also answer questions in Norwegian.
