Learning outcomes
This workshop builds on our Introduction to NVivo course where you learn how to import, organize, and code text. The workshop will be tailored to the needs of the participants, but may cover topics such as learn how to:
- cluster and organize codes in hierarchies with child codes
- import and code material in other formats than text, such as sound, image, or video
- transcribe audiovisual material
- import and integrate related bibliographies with full texts (PDFs) from reference management tools such as Zotero
- import and integrate surveys and datasets
- classify cases with attributes
- classify files with metadata
- use annotations and see-also links
- visualize coded and classified material to see relationships between codes and attributes

Remember to bring your computer with NVivo installed or ready to use via UiO Programkiosk.
Working methods
Demonstration with practical examples and exercises. Instruction in English unless everyone is competent in Norwegian, and we can also answer questions in Norwegian.
Target group
Open to all students and employees at the UiO and OUS.
