Required practical preparation

  1. You must already have access to a TSD project and set up your TSD user account with a separate password and OTP (one-time code). You also need Omnissa installed to access your TSD virtual machine. See Get started with TSD.
  2. You must also have NVivo installed on your TSD virtual machine.
    1. NVivo is available for installation from TSD’s Software Center, but only the administrator has installation rights. Ask the administrator of your TSD project to install NVivo to your project well before the course. See Software in TSD.
    2. If you are the project leader (PI) and have an independent project in TSD to which only you have access, you will have administrator rights to install software from TSD’s Software Center yourself. Do so well before the course.
    3. If the administrator or PI is unable to locate NVivo in TSD's Software Center, contact tsd-drift@usit.uio.no.
  3. If you are going to import video files to NVivo, you will also need to install the codecs package K-Lite Codec Pack from TSD's Software Center before the course.
