Course description
More and more researchers across disciplines are preregistering their hypotheses, methods, and analysis plans before they collect or analyze the data. Preregistration motivates us to think more carefully about research designs, helps prevent manipulating the study outcomes, and increases research transparency and visibility. But how and where do we preregister research studies?
In this course we will introduce the concept of preregistration and discuss its benefits and challenges. We will also give you a step-by-step guide on how to preregister research studies and an overview over different online platforms where you can preregister your research.
We will wrap up with a question and answer session where you will be able to ask us any questions you might have about preregistration!
Note that the course will be followed by a hands-on workshop on how to preregister on the OSF-platform. If you would like to attend both make sure to register for both as well.
