Get started with visualisation of geodata

This is a hands-on introduction to geodata and ArcGIS. We will provide an overview of opportunities and challenges when working with visualisation of geodata in the context of social science and humanities research. This will be an opportunity for newcomers or if you are in need of brushing up your skills in ArcGIS. There will be practical activities and exercises. Also, you may bring your own dataset and we will help you kick-start your geodata analysis.

Prerequisites

No prior knowledge of geodata analysis or the program ArcGIS is required.

Target audience

Social sciences and humanities scholars working with geodata.

Required Materials

Please bring your laptop and ensure that you have installed/have access to ArcGIS. We will email registred participants further specifications regarding how to access ArcGIS.
