About the topic

Open and free access to knowledge, facts, and information from a trusted source is of great interest to today’s society filled with fake news, misinformation and disinformation. Therefore, open knowledge resources such as Store norske leksikon (Great Norwegian Encyclopedia) and Wikipedia, probably two of the biggest and most used open online encyclopedias in Norway, are of great importance. But how do they work, what is their scope, how are they maintained and who are their contributors?

Grab your matpakke and join us for two short presentations! One about Store norske leksikon by Erik Bolstad, Editor-in-Chief, and one about Wikipedia by Elisabeth Carrera, Executive Director of Wikimedia Norge. We will, as always, follow up with Q&A session!

How to join

The event is open to everybody and will take place on-site at the Digital Scholarship Center, Georg Sverdrups hus, 1st floor (register here for in-person attendance) as well as online on Zoom (click here to join).
