The Science Fiction collection

Possibly the largest public collection of Science Fiction in Norway. As of January 2017, we have cataloged nearly 8000 books, and there's quite a backlog of donated books yet to be processed.

Kickstarted by generous donations from Odd Einar Dørum, Johannes Berg, and Aniara, the Science Fiction collection was officially opened at 22 February 2013.

Since then the collection have been actively developed and expanded. Piles of donated books have been cataloged and processed, and new items have been purchased. We're open to suggestions as well, so please go ahead and suggest a purchase if you like!

The collection is located at the second floor in Niels Henrik Abels hus, in the room "Bjørnehjørnet" right next to the passage between Vilhelm Bjerknes' hus and Nils Henrik Abels hus, so you can enter the room either from Niels Henrik Abels hus or Vilhelm Bjerknes' hus.

The collection code in our library catalog is SciFi.
