  • Pubscholar is a free platform for academic papers, journal articles, dissertations and papent documents established by the National Science Library of The China Academy of Sciences. The platform holds approx. 170 million searchable resources, including around 80 million free full-text documents, a large part from CAS own publications, so mainly within natural sciences and science and technology.

  • China Biographical Database project - Joint project by Harvard, Academia Sinica and Beijing University. The China Biographical Database is a freely accessible relational database with biographical information about approximately  535,181 individuals as of February 2024, primarily from the 7th through 19th centuries.
  • China Vitae    中国名人录

                                                           Other resources

  • Antique maps of China - consists of more than 270 maps, charts, pictures and atlases. It has samples of almost all maps of China produced by European cartographers from the 16th to 19th centuries.
