HSE goals for the University Library

  • Employees and patrons shall have effective and safe work spaces in an inspiring and secure environment.
  • The collections at UB will be managed in a secure and responsible manner. 

Defibrillator

Image may contain: Eye, Font, Circle, Symbol, Electric blue.The defibrillator is located at the desk on the 1st floor of the Humanities and Social Sciences Library in Georg Sverdrup's Hus. As a general rule, individuals should be trained to use a defibrillator, but if an accident occurs, the machine will provide verbal instructions on how to proceed.

On the Safe Side is a mobile-optimised website. It provides you with user-friendly training and advice on what you should do in emergency situations.

Emergency response work at the University Library

In the event of accidents or dangerous situations, call the UiO Security and Alarm Center at 22856666 (24-hour staff), or contact the fire department / police / ambulance.

The emergency response work is led by the library director.
