Target Audience
Primarily PhD students, postdocs, researchers, and research support staff at the University of Oslo and Oslo University Hospital. There are a few spots for external participants and participants from other Norwegian/Nordic universities are especially welcome to attend.
Course description
Registering hypotheses, methods, and analysis plans before collecting or analyzing data has many benefits, but how do we do it in practice?
In this workshop, we will learn how to create preregistrations for concrete research projects. We will walk you through one of the existing platforms for preregistering studies: Open Science Framework (OSF). It is a well-developed platform for research registration and sharing, that also includes several different preregistration templates, for example for quantitative studies, qualitative studies, studies with secondary data and other.
We will wrap up with a question and answer session where you will be able to ask us any questions you might have about preregistration!
Note that if you do not have any prior knowledge about preregistration, make sure to also attend "Learn the basics of preregistration" course that takes place on the same day.
