Online Search is used to search for references directly via EndNote. This is a useful feature if you want to retrieve references from databases that either do not have an export feature or have an unusual or difficult search interface. Various national and university libraries have their catalogs searchable here. For search in Norwegian catalogues, use BIBSYS-Alma.
-
Go to Online Search in the group panel to the left.
-
Select a database, e.g. Library of Congress
-
You will find a search panel that is customized to the database you are looking for. Choose the right search box (author, year, etc.) Be precise in the search. Try again with less information if you do not get any results (e.g. less of the title, only author last name, etc.)
-
Highlight the relevant references and click the Plus button (Add the selected online records to your local library) to add them to your library.
