Printing, copying and scanning
Printing
Most of our libraries have printers.
- Go to USIT's pages for information on how to print and print quotas.
- For every print, an amount is withdrawn from your print account. If the account is empty, or the balance is low, you can fill up your print account.
- The price per A4 sheet of paper is 0,80 NOK (for colour and black/white prints). The price is the same regardless of whether the print is only on one page or two.
- It is possible for external users to print out from our library resources. Please contact the staff.
- Most of the computers in the libraries are connected to printers.
- Most of the printers in the libraries have card readers.
- If you do not have a student or employee card, you can get one from the SiO card senter.

The student library Sophus Bugge
- The library has a multi machine for printing, copying and scanning. When you print, choose "pullprint\ricoh" and scan your card on the machine.
The theological library
The library pc's are for catalogue searching. It is not possible to log in with your username and password to work on and print your own documents.
The Law library
- The library has a multi machine for printing, copying and scanning. When you print, choose "ricoh on pullprint" and scan your card on the machine.

Library of medicine and science
Medical library at Rikshospitalet, Ullevål Hospital and the Dentistry library
The libraries has a multi machine for printing, copying and scanning. When you print, choose "pullprint\ricoh" and scan your card on the machine.
In addition, the libraries at Rikshospitalet and Ullevål Hospital has multi machines for printing, copying and scanning for Oslo University Hospital staff. When you print, choose "sikker print" and scan your card on the machine.
The Science Library in Vilhelm Bjerknes' hus
To print our from a tablet, laptop or mobile phone you must have a student card and use pullprint. See instructions. If you have any questions contact the IT staff in the library.
There are two printers along the back wall of the "Hangar" behind the information desk. The printers are called Snipp and Snapp. Printing is done through pullprint, and you access your print by scanning your student card on the machine, or logging in using your UiO username and password.
The Library of Informatics
A colour printer is available in the library.
Copying
Most of our libraries have photocopiers
- Students and employees must use their student cards when copying. External users must contact the library desk.
- The library does not certify copies.

The library has one copying machine.
The Dentistry library
The library has a copying machine which requires a copy card.

In the “Hangar”, behind the information area there are two printers which can also be used for copying. Scan your student card on the machine, or logging in using your UiO username and password to copy.
Scanning
Scanning is possible in some of our libraries.

On the ground floor there is a self-operated scanner which can scan up to A4 size paper. The scannders are connected to a PC, and you need a UiO username and password in order to gain access. Scanned material can be saved to your home area on the computer. Additionally there is a book scanner on the ground floor which saves the scanned material to a USB stick.
The student library Sophus Bugge
The library has one scanner next to the guidance desk. It is possible to convert scanned material to text, or scan to PDF. Scanned material is sent to your email address.

We can offer scanning to email on the copying machine at Rikshospitalet. Instructions are by the copying machine.

There are combined photocopiers/scanners available to users in the Science Library, located in the "Hangar". Scan your student card on the machine, or logging in using your UiO username and password to copy
The Library of Informatics
Scanning in colour or black/white is available in the library.
