New visualization of the Pensum collection of the Science Library (with the ‘Science’ category selected

Summary:

This week, many project-related meetings took place, and proposals were presented to Interaction Design students at the Informatics department. One group already decided to conduct their project in the Science Library.

Specific meetings, including:

  • Prepare document with proposals for INF2260 projects (in the IFI Interaction Design course). (Kyrre, Dan Michael, Line, input from Live, 21.08.17)
  • Prepare a presentation and presenting the possible projects to the students (Kyrre, Hugo, 22.08.17)
  • Meeting the student team which chose to work in the Science Library (Kyrre, Hugo, 24.08.17)
    • Interested in “community building” topic, will conduct user studies and have technical expertise
    • Sending them a document with previous user studies / work done
  •  Check Google Analytics (bibsys) insights for the Oria at UiO (Hugo, Dan Michael, 25.08.17)
    • Some insights on how often and when pages are opened, how fast pages load (Site Speed) and how people move between search pages, search results and other Oria features (Behavior Flow).
    • Real time info on current number of users utilizing Oria
    • Possible to compare number of searches with data from Primo Analytics
    • No information on used queries
      • Action point: we have to develop our own solution for that
  • Discuss technical development for the coming semester (Dan Michael, Hugo, Kyrre, 25.08.17)
    • Discussing ongoing work (e.g. exploration prototypes) and infrastructural developments needed.

Specific activities, including:

  • Creating a project repository of all pictures taken during our studies and events, for reuse in presentations, etc. Project members can access via Google Drive: UiO Visual Navigation Project/Image repository (23.08.17)
